Memorial sites for Caty have been established at the accident site and in the Highland Center hallway west of Myers Field House near the track and cross country team displays. The accident site memorial is temporary; the Myers Field House site could be permanent. The Athletic Department is examining several options which have been suggested regarding a permanent memorial.
Student-athletes from the men's and women's track teams dedicated their participation at the MSU Open, which took place at Land of Memories Oct. 6. MSU student-athletes ran in t-shirts memorializing Caty.
The track and cross country teams is wearing memorial patches on their uniforms in all remaining competitions this year.
A moment of silence was be observed prior to the Homecoming football game on Saturday.
