Ann welcomes three high school seniors. Allanna Wahl, 5-9 guard, from Lakeville HS, MN., Jenny Bjorklund, 6-3 post, from Sibley East HS, and Jessica Stanek, 5-7 guard, from Tripoli HS, IA. All three will provide solid framework to aid in replacing this year?s seniors.
Matt has announced the signing of two student-athletes. Kyle Marxhausen, 6-4 guard, from Rosemount HS and Tyler McAthie, 6-6 forward, from Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS. They will bring with them some impressive stats and honors and vie for playing time early in their careers.
The women are 2-1 following a double overtime loss at Winona State last Tuesday. Tonight, they host a rebuilt Bemidji State team. Game time is 7:00 PM. This weekend, December 6 & 7, they will travel to Marshall to play in Southwest State?s Hardee?s Classic. The Mavs will play Wayne State on Friday (1:00) and Southwest State on Saturday (6:00).
The men carry a 4-0 record following a 10 point win at UM-Crookston last Saturday. They will play UM-Duluth here tomorrow at 7:00 PM. They will also be competing in Southwest State?s Hardee?s Classic this weekend, December 6 & 7. The Mavs are slated to play Wayne State on Friday (3:00) and Southwest State on Saturday (8:00).
Every Tuesday during basketball season, the Hoops Club will meet at Boomtown at 12:00 noon for a visit with the MSU women?s and men?s basketball coaches, players and a $6.50 pizza, salad and beverage lunch.
