It used to be said that the Matt Margenthaler era of Minnesota State men's basketball could be summed up by using the prase "steady improvement." No more. Perhaps now the only correct description of the Maverick program under Margenthaler would be to utter, "dramatic improvement," or "perennial contender" maybe even "nationally elite program."
Now in her second season with the Minnesota State women's basketball program, Lori Fish, the seventh head coach in MSU women's basketball history, is 11-16 (.407) in her career as a head coach. In North Central Conference games, Fish holds a 5-7 (.416) record.
