New Orleans, La. — The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced its 2008 academic awards and the Minnesota State men's and women's track and field teams were well represented.
Walnut, Calif. --- Minnesota State sophomore sprinter Brittany Henderson (Milwaukee, Wis.) finished second in the 200-meter dash and third in the 100-meter dash at the NCAA Division II National Championships held in Walnut, Calif.
Mankato, Minn. --- Head women's soccer coach Peter McGahey has announced that Gretta Arvesen has been named an assistant coach for the Minnesota State soccer program.
Mankato, Minn. --- Minnesota State head men's basketball coach Matt Margenthaler has announced that Nigel Jenkins has joined his staff as an assistant. Jenkins will replace Austin Hansen, who left Minnesota State last month for a similar position at South Dakota State.
