Mankato, Minn. --- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released the top-10 rankings for the Central Region for week 5. The Minnesota State women's cross country team is ranked #10 in the poll.

The Mavericks are one of five teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference that are ranked in this week's poll. Joining the Mavericks are Augustana (#2), Minnesota Duluth(#4), Mary (#7), and Winona State (#9).

The Mavericks will compete in the NSIC Championship on October 24, 2009 in Bemidji, Minn.
