Mankato, Minn. --- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association release the week 5 regional rankings for the Central Region. The Minnesota State men's cross country team is ranked fifth.

The Mavericks are one of four teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference that are ranked in the week 5 Poll. Joining the Mavericks are MSU Moorhead (#6), Augustana (#7) and Minnesota Duluth (#10).

The Mavericks will compete in the NSIC Championship, on October 24, 2009 in Bemidji, Minn.
