Minnesota State Splits With Wisconsin and Stands 3-3-0 for 2009-10

On Tap:    Minnesota State (3-3-0 overall, 1-3-0 WCHA) continues Western Collegiate Hockey Association action this week with a pair of road games with the University of Denver (4-2-0 overall, 2-0-0 WCHA) this weekend.  The Mavericks and the Pioneers play in on campus at DU at Magness Arena (6,026) Friday (7:37 p.m.) and Saturday (7:07 p.m.).

About the MSU-DU Series:
The Pioneers own a 15-13-3 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools and MSU’s active career scoring leader vs. DU is junior forward Andrew Sackrison (2-2--4 in five games).
Head coach Troy Jutting’s career head coaching record vs. DU stands at 9-13-4 (.423).

Mavericks Most Recently:   Minnesota State stands 3-3 on the year after earning a home split with #17 Wisconsin. MSU’s 6-0 loss to the Badgers Friday marked the first time an opponent had shut-out the Mavericks in Mankato since Colorado College’s Matt Zaba accomplished the feat Oct. 28, 2005.
