Mavericks Take on Seawolves in Anchorage This Weekend

On Tap:    Minnesota State (3-6-1 overall, 1-6-1 WCHA) continues Western Collegiate Hockey Association action with a pair of road games at the University of Alaska Anchorage (4-8-0 overall, 2-6-0 WCHA) this weekend.  The Mavericks and the Seawolves square-off at UAA’s Sullivan Arena (6,251) in downtown Anchorage Friday (7:07 p.m.) and Saturday (7:07 p.m.).  Please note these time are Alaska Standard Time.

About the MSU-UAA Series:   MSU stands 30-19-6 all-time in games against UAA. The Mavericks have won six of their last eight games and have gone 14-3-2 in the last four years vs. the Seawolves. Senior forward Geoff Irwin is MSU’s active leading scorer vs. UAA with 1-8--9 in 12 games and head coach Troy Jutting owns a 23-8-5 mark in games with the Seawolves.

Mavericks Most Recently:   Minnesota State stands 3-6-1 overall and is 1-6-1 in WCHA action after falling twice (1-0 ot and 3-2) to tenth-rated Colorado College in their most recent action.
