Minnesota State Ranked Sixth in National Poll

Mankato, Minn. – The Minnesota State women’s basketball team is ranked sixth in the USA Today ESPN Division II Poll.
Last season Minnesota State finished first in the nation winning the 2009 national championship against Franklin Pierce. MSU tallied an outstanding 32-2 overall record and 19-1 in the NSIC.
Minnesota State is the only ranked team from the Northern Sun Conference. Concordia-St. Paul, Winona State and MSU-Mooorhead were placed in the “Others receiving votes category”.
MSU will play an exhibition game tomorrow night (Nov. 5) against South Dakota State in Brookings, South Dakota at 7 p.m. The Mavericks will host Dana on November 17 at 7:00 p.m. in Taylor Center.
