Buckeye, Az. – The Minnesota State men’s golf team traveled south for the RMAC Men’s Golf Championship where they finished 9th out of 15 teams. This was a two day event in which 54 holes of golf were played. The first two rounds were played on day 1. The Mavericks recorded a 312-302-321—935.
Senior golfer Jon Herzog led the way for the Mavericks posting a 76-74-75—225 tying him for 8th place out of a field of 75 players. Junior Kyle Welch carded a 79-74-78—231 (T-18), while junior Jimmy Fromm shot a 77-77-84—238 (T-36). Rounding out the Maverick scorers are junior Bryant Black, 80-78-84—242 (T-46) and junior Josh Angrimson, 80-77-89—246 (T-49).
The Minnesota State men are in action again starting on May 4th for the Super Region which is a three day event in Lincoln, Neb.
