Sioux Falls, S.D. --- The Minnesota State women’s golf team moves up a spot after the second round of play in the NCAA Division II Super Regional 3. The Mavericks shot a 329-322 – 651 leaving them in 3rd place.

Sophomore Leah Grozdanich stays on top for the Mavericks women shooting a 78-80 – 158 tying her for seventh place. Junior Jaymie Halvorson recorded the best round on the day shooting a 77 making her two day total 83-77 – 160 (11). Freshman Samantha Bergmann carded an 82-82 – 164 (t-13). Rounding out the Mavericks scorers are freshman Lisa Moline, 87-83 – 170 (23) and junior Kassie Ellsworth, 86-88 – 174 (33).

The Minnesota State women finish the third round of play May 6, 2009.
