Stevens Point, Wis. – The Minnesota State women’s swimming and diving team finished sixth with 285.5 points in the second and final day of the 2010 UW-Stevens Point Open. UW-Stevens Point won the 10-team event with 799 points.
The Mavericks participated in the morning prelims however due to the impending road conditions, MSU did not swim in any of the finals.
On the diving board, junior Janel Duffy won the one-meter dive with a score of 402.60 and finished sixth in the three-meter dive with 376.55 points.
In the relays, senior Angela Krych, sophomore Kaitlin Ogden , freshman Tabby Temperly and junior Kristin Hayes finished fourth in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:08.15.
Minnesota State returns to action next Friday at home against Northern Iowa beginning at 6 p.m.
