Minnesota State junior wrestler Andrew Forstner is in third season with the Mavericks. The Madelia, Minn., native, is 16-9 this season while winning nine of his last 11 matches and ranked sixth in the nation at the 125-pound mark.
Currently 9-2 in dual meets Forstner was named "MSU's Hardest Worker" last year and finished his sophomore season with a sixth-place at the NCAA Division II National Championships in becoming a first-time All-American.
MSU head coach Jim Makovsky had this to say about Forstner:

Q & A With Andy Forstner
1. How did you end up coming to Minnesota State?
AF - “Great coach and program as well as close to my hometown.”
2. What is your favorite thing about wrestling?
AF - “It is an individual sport that is physical.”
3. What do you plan on doing after you graduate?
AF - “Find a job hopefully around this area and coach somewhere.”
4. What has been your biggest accomplishment here while at Minnesota State?
AF -“Becoming an All-American.”
5. Do you plan on continuing your wrestling career? Why/Why not?
AF - “No, college is the highest level besides the Olympics.”
6. Do you have any pre-match rituals?
AF - “No I just go with the flow.”
7. What do you like to do in your free time?
AF - “Relax, spend time with my girlfriend, bike rides.”
8. If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would you be and why?
AF - “Some place warm.”
9. If we heard five random songs from your Ipod right now what would turn on?
AF - “Digging up bones by Randy Travis, Hook by Blues Traveler, Say it ain't so by Weezer, Right where I need to be by Gary Allan, St. Jimmy by GreenDay.”
10. If you could have any supernatural power right now what would it be?
AF - “Fly, It would be fun and easier to get around.”
11. In a street fight who would win a boxer or a wrestler?
AF - “If they would stay on their feet a boxer would, but if they were on the ground a wrestler would dominate.”
13. What's a typical day consist of you doing?
AF - “Class, homework, practice, work on most days.”
14. What are your goals the rest of the season?
AF - “To have fun and enjoy the rest of the season, if I do that everything else will fall into place.”
15. What got you into wrestling and what age did you start?
AF - “My dad and brothers all wrestled so I did the same. I started when I was in first grade.”
16. If you could be and celebrity right now, who would you be and why?
AF - “George Clooney, has lots of money and is a good actor.”
