MSU outhit the Cougars by a 13-2 margin en route to the win.

Junior shortstop Zach Rowles was four-for-four in the victory, with two doubles and two runs batted in. Junior outfielder Aaron Berner was two-for-three with a double and one RBI. Sophomore righthanded starter Blake Schwartz, who fanned four and walked four Colorado Christian batters and gave up one hit and one earned run in 5.2 innings of work, was credited with the win. Junior Luke Putz tossed the last 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.

The second game of the doubleheader was cancelled due to snow.

Now 2-1 on the year, the Mavericks playe UW-Parkside in the Metrodome Feb. 27 in their next action.
