Minneapolis, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women’s swimming and diving team opened the 2010 Minnesota Challenge with a pair of top-10 finishes in relays and two top-12 finishes in individual races.
In the relays, the 400-yard medley relay finished third with a time of 4:03.77. The relay team was made up of senior Angela Krych, freshman Alyssa Kuffel, sophomore Emily Timm and freshman Tabby Temperly.
The Mavericks finished sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.19. That relay team was composed of Krych, junior Chelsea Chapman, sophomore Jessy Stanton and Timm.
Individually, freshman Marissa Reeve finished 10th in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:17.35. In the 50-yard freestyle, Krych was 12th with a time of :24.96.
The two-day long event concludes Saturday.
