AKRON, OHIO – The Minnesota State women’s swimming and diving team saw their 4x200-yard medley relay finish 14th at the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championships.
The Mavericks currently sit in a tie for 23rd-place with six points. Drury Leads the field with 156 points.
The relay team consisted of senior Angela Krych, sophomore Kaitlin Ogden, sophomore Emily Timm and senior Kim Christensen. The 14th-place finish guaranteed Krych’s ninth All-American honor, while Ogden now has three, Timm has five and Christensen six.
The quartet entered the finals with the 12th-best time overall, swimming a 1:46.66 in the prelims.
Individually, Timm finished 42nd in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:11.04, while Christensen was 29th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of :24.22. Junior Chelsea Champman was 62nd in the 50-yard freestyle, touching in :24.92.
The Mavericks continue action in the four-day event Thursday.
