Mavericks Continue Action At National Championships

AKRON, OHIO – The Minnesota State women’s swimming and diving team continued action Thursday at the 2010 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships.
A pair of Maverick relay squads participated as the 200-yard freestyle team finished the prelims tied for 16th at 1:36.93. The Mavericks lost in a swim-off against the University of Bridgeport for the right to advance to the finals. MSU finished the swimoff with a time of 1:36.50. The relay team was made up of senior Kim Christensen, sophomore Kaitlin Ogden, junior Chelsea Chapman and senior Angela Krych.
In the 400-yard medley relay, the Mavericks were 22nd with time of 3:57.54. That relay team was made up of Krych, Ogden, sophomore Emily Timm and Christensen
Individually, Timm finished 22nd in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of :57.52.
The Mavericks continue action in the four-day event Friday.
