MSU Wraps Up National Championships

CANTON, OHIO --- The Minnesota State men’s 4x400-yard freestyle relay team turned in an 15-place finish with a time of 3:07.70 to earn All-American status at the 2010 NCAA Division II national championships.

The four-day long event concluded Sunday.  The Mavericks finished with 26th with six points, while Drury won the event with 538.

The relay squad, which was made up of freshman Tom Gasnick, sophomore Matt Chida, junior Chris Gogel and sophomore Daniel Wright finished 16th in the prelims with a time of 3:06.53.

Individually, Gasnick and Wright finished 36th and 40th respectively in the 100-yard freestyle with times of :46.64 and :46.93.
