KANSAS CITY, MO. — The Minnesota State men's basketball team fell from fifth to eighth in this week's National Basketball Coaches Association/NCAA Division II Poll.
This marks the 37th time in school history that Minnesota State has been ranked in the top-10 by the NBCA. It also marks the 11th straight week that MSU has been ranked in the top-10 this year.
Last weekend, MSU split its two games, losing to Augustana, 72-71, and defeating the University of Mary, 75-63.
The Mavericks are one of three teams from the NSIC in the top-25, #15 Augustana and #24 St. Cloud State.
Minnesota State (24-3, 17-3 NSIC) hosts Southwest Minnesota State Wednesday at 7 p.m., to open the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament.
