Minnesota State Cross Country Named All-Academic Team

New Orleans, La. --- Minnesota State women's cross country team has been named USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Teams, 2009. The Mavericks compiled a G.P.A of 3.23
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative GPA. Three conferences claimed eight teams in the mix, including the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
During the 2009 season the Mavericks finished fourth at the NSIC championships with 141 points and 11th at the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships. Sophomore
Ali Paul led the Mavericks as she finished sixth, qualifying for Nationals. Paul became an All-Amercian when she finished in the top 40 at the National tournament, finishing 30th place overall.
