Indianpolis, Ind. --- Minnesota State senior middle-distance runner Denise Mokaya and sophomore pole vaulter Dan Novak have advanced to the NCAA Championships held May 27-29 at the Irwin Belk Track Complex in Charlotte, N.C.

Mokaya, who won the 2010 NCAA Division II Indoor Championship in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.55, and enters the outdoor championships as the #4 seed with a time of 1:49.54.

Novak is ninth in the pole vault with a seed mark of 5.00-meters.

Last year, Minnesota State sent competitors to the National Championships but did not record any points.
