Krych, Herzog Recognized For Academic, Athletic Achievements

Angela Krych and senior men's golfer
Jon Herzog have been named to the
CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V Second-Team.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must own a 3.30 grade point average and have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions.
Krych – who is from Holdingford, Minn. – owns a 3.92 grade point average in exercise science and finished her career as a nine-time All-American with the Mavericks. This past spring, Krych was honored as a
Maverick Achievement Award winner, which is given to a senior student-athlete who owns a 3.0 GPA or higher at Minnesota State.
Herzog, a native of New Ulm, Minn., finished his career as a Maverick with a 3.83 GPA in Management. This past season, Herzog boasted a 76.9 stroke average per 18 holes for the Maverick golf squad which advanced to the NCAA Regional Tournament. His average was the second best on the squad. This marks the second straight year that Herzog has been honored by CoSIDA and ESPN The Magazine for his academic achievements. This past spring, he was honored as a
Maverick Achievement Award recipient.
