Dohmen Named Regional Rookie of the Year by the ITA

Freshman Brandi Dohmen was Named the ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year

Mankato, Minn. ---  Minnesota State freshman #3 singles player Brandi Dohmen and head coach Phil Brauer were both honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Wednesday.

Dohmen, who is from Portage, Wis., was named the ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year.  In her maiden season with Minnesota State, Dohmen played to a 12-9 record in singles play as she was 10-9 at the #3 spot and 2-0 at the #2 position. 

Head coach Phil Brauer – who is in his seventh season as head coach of the women's squad – was named the ITA Central Region Coach of the Year after helping guide Minnesota State to a 12-12 record, including a 6-4 mark in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
