Danny Miller has been named
Academic All-District Third Team by College Sports Information Directors of America.
Miller, a native of Eden Prairie, Minn., owns a 3.35 grade point average and is majoring in Accounting. A three-year starter for the Mavericks, Miller is currently hitting .339 for 2010 with six home runs and 45 runs batted in. Named All-Northern Sun last year and a All-NCC Honorable Mention pick as a freshman, Miller was named to the All-NSIC Gold Glove team for his defensive prowess this year. Miller has 19 career home runs to tie for 12th on MSU’s all-time list and his 11 career triples is tied for first. He has 115 career RBI to eighth all-time at MSU.
The Mavericks, who stand 37-13 for the year, are in St. Cloud, Minn., where they are participating in the 2010 NSIC Tournament. Tournament officials have announced that due to rain Friday action is postponed and the tournament will resume Saturday. MSU is scheduled to play Winona State in an elimination game.
