Senior Paige Burke Closed Out A Stellar Four-Year Career As a Maverick

What Just Happened: The Minnesota State women's tennis team finished the 2010 season with a 12-12 record, including a 6-4 mark in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
Rankings: In the final edition of the ITA Central Region rankings released June 2, the Mavericks finished sixth in the Central Region. Individually, junior Sarah Madigan was ranked ninth and Madigan and freshman doubles partner Kathryn Gavin were ranked sixth as well.
Cassandra Anderson Notes: Anderson concluded her final season as a Maverick with an 8-13 record, including a 5-5 record in NSIC play. She was 1-0 at the #4 flight, 5-13 at the #5 flight and 2-0 at the #6 flight. Anderson had a season-high three-match winning streak early in the season.
Tegan Bakke Notes: Sophomore Tegan Bakke was 2-0 this season in singles play with a win coming at the #4 flight and another at the #5 flight. Was an Academic All-NSIC selection.
Paige Burke Notes: Senior Paige Burke played to an 11-8 record this season, including a 6-4 record in league play. Burke was 1-0 at the #2 flight and 10-8 at the #4 flight and won seven of her first nine matches to open the season. Was an Academic All-NSIC selection.
Brandi Dohmen Notes: Freshman Brandi Dohmen finished her rookie season with a 12-9 record, including an 8-2 mark in the NSIC. She was 2-0 at the #2 spot and was 10-3 at the #3 flight. Dohmen, who started the season winning her first six matches and eight of her first 10, was named the ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year.
Kathryn Gavin Notes: Freshman Kathryn Gavin played to a 9-12 record this season and was 6-4 in NSIC play. Gavin was 1-0 at the #1 flight, 7-11 the #2 and 1-1 at the #3 flight. She opened the year with a season-high five match winning streak.
Carly Hiedeman Notes: Sophomore Carly Hiedeman was 2-0 this season with a victory at the #5 and #6 positions. Was an Academic All-NSIC selection.
Brittany Hoban Notes: Sophomore Brittany Hoban was 1-0 this year with her only match coming at the #6 singles spot.
Heather Jensen Notes: Junior Heather Jensen was 17-5 this season, including a perfect 10-0 in league play. An Honorable Mention All-Conference selection, Madigan was 1-0 at the #3 flight, 2-1 at the #5 flight and 14-4 at the #6 flight. She posted winning streaks of eight straight and seven straight matches this season. Had the most wins (14) of any player playing #6 doubles this season in the NSIC. Racked up 10 wins in conference play, the most of any player at any flight in the NSIC and was the only player with an undefeated record in the NSIC.
Sarah Madigan Notes: Junior Sarah Madigan played to a 7-15 record this season and was 4-6 in conference play. All 22 of her matches this year were at the #1 flight and she was a Second-Team All-Conference pick. Finished the season ranked ninth in the region.
