Waco, Texas --- The Minnesota State football team continued its upward trend in the American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II Top-25 Coaches’ Poll this week, jumping from #12 a week ago to #10.
The Mavericks are joined by ninth-ranked Minnesota Duluth as the only teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in the top-25. The University of Sioux Falls and St. Cloud State are each receiving votes in this week’s poll.
The ranking marks the 24th time in program history that the Mavericks have been ranked in the top-10 and the first time it has been since it was ranked eighth in the Nov. 2, 2009 poll.
Minnesota State (6-0, 6-0 NSIC) returns to action this weekend as it entertains Southwest Minnesota State. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
