Indianapolis, Ind. --- The Minnesota State football team regained the top-spot in this week’s NCAA Super Region #3 Rankings a week after slipping to second a week ago.
The jump in the ranking comes thanks in part to MSU’s 27-13 win over Sioux Falls last weekend, along with the fact that Henderson State – the top-ranked team in the region last week – was idle.
Henderson State fell to second and is followed by Northwest Missouri State, Harding, Missouri Western State and Minnesota Duluth. Winona State is seventh and is followed by Emporia State, Sioux Falls and Southern Arkansas.
The top-six teams from each region advance to the NCAA tournament, with the top-two teams receiving first round byes.
The Mavericks (10-0, 10-0 NSIC), ranked sixth in this week’s AFCA poll, return to action Saturday when it entertains Upper Iowa at 1 p.m.
