Mankato, Minn. --- One of the hottest teams in the nation and winners of its last six games, Minnesota State is rated 20th in this week's national poll announced by U.S. College Hockey Online.
The Mavericks, who have have put together three consecutive league sweeps in gaining wins over Wisconsin, Bemidji State and Alaska Anchorage, own an overall record of 9-5-2. MSU stands 7-5-0 in league play and is tied for third in the WCHA standings.
The last time Minnesota State appeared in the USCHO poll was during the 2008-09 season when the Mavericks were rated in the top twenty 11 times, reaching a high of tenth at one point.
