Cole Huggins, a Centennial, Colo., native, saw action in both games vs. Bowling Green last weekend. The first-year netminder stopped all nine shots he faced in his period and half of relief work in Friday's 4-3 loss to Bowling Green, then pitched his first career shut-out by stopping all 33 shots in the 1-0 overtime win over Bowling Green Saturday. His statistics for the weekend: 90:53 minutes, 0 goals allowed, 42 shots faced, 42 saves, 1-0-0 record, 0.00 saves percentage and 0.00 goals against average.
In his four appearances in 2013-14, the Centennial, Colo., native has owns, 2-0-0, 1.11 and .964 numbers.
The Mavericks, who stand 4-4-0 overall, play at #1 Minnesota this Friday and Saturday in their next action.
