Louisville, Ky.. --- The Minnesota State softball team finished the 2013 season ranked 25th in the nation by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Thursday.
MSU, which was ranked 18th in the previous poll, fell to 25th after losing on the final day of competition in the NCAA Central 2 Sub Region Tournament.
MSU is one of two teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference ranked in the top-25. Winona State, which won the NCAA Central 2 Sub Region Tournament, was ranked 10th.
The Mavericks finished their 2013 season with a 40-12 record, and won the NSIC Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
