Brandi Dohmen has been named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic At Large All-American Third Team Wednesday.
Dohmen is the eighth student-athlete from MSU to earn an Academic All-American honor during the 2012-13 season.
A native of Portage, Wis., Dohmen boasts a 3.98 GPA in spanish and received the Georgene Brock Award for most “well rounded” MSU female senior student-athlete who excels on the field, in the classroom and in the community.
Dohmen finished her senior season with a 10-13 record in singles action, while competing in the No. 1 singles matches throughout the entire season. She also boasted a 7-5 NSIC record in singles action and boasted an overall doubles record of 8-13. For her efforts, Dohmen was named to the NSIC Singles All-Conference Second Team.
The Mavericks finished the season with an 11-9 record and advanced to the second round of the NSIC Tournament.
