Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's track and field team hosted the MSU Open on Saturday. Sophomore
Holly Suss won both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash.
Suss led the Mavericks with times of 7.75 and 25.24, respectively. Both times meet the NCAA DII provisional-qualifying standard.
Senior
Zevin Carter finished seventh in the finals of the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.00. Carter also improved her provisional-qualifying standard time in the 60-meter hurdles by placing fourth with a time of 8.81. Sophomore
Brooke Foreman ran a career-best time of 9.07 placing seventh overall.
The Mavericks had a strong showing in the 200-meter dash, where all nine participants ran season best times. Suss led the way and was followed closely by sophomore
Mackenzie Beals (fifth) and freshman
Brieanna Puckett (sixth). The trio posted times of 25.24, 25.99 and 26.02, respectively.

Taylor Naatz and junior
Alexis Dickens ran career-best times in the 400-meter dash as they finished in seventh place (59.51) and tenth place (1:00.12) respectively.

Taylor Glover posted a collegiate-best time in the 600-meter run finishing second with a time of 1:37.38. In the 1000-meter run junior
Halee Peterson finished seventh overall with a season-best time of 3:04.63.
Freshman
Brianna Ziolkowski won the women's high jump with a jump of 5' 3". Junior
Courtney Johnson and sophomore
Kayla Lindell placed 12
th overall with jumps of 4' 11.75".
The Purple and Gold finished first and third in the women's pole vault. Junior
Bryanna Sudman led the Mavericks finishing with a career-best vault of 12' 6.75". Freshman
Abby Snater also vaulted a career-best of 11' 9". Both Mavericks improved their provisional-qualifying standards with their vaults today.

Anna Veroeven won the women's triple jump with a final mark of 37' 10.75" while Puckett led the way for the Mavericks placing fifth in the long jump with a jump of 17' 4.25".
Junior
Morgan Stampley led the Mavericks in the women's weight throw and shot put. She finished third and 13
th respectively with measurements of 57' .75" and 38' 5.5".
The 4x400-meter relay team of senior
Annie Dahl, Dickens, Glover, and Naatz, finished in second place with a time of 3:55.46.

The Mavericks return to action tomorrow as they host the NSIC Multi. The two-day event begins at 2 p.m. at Myers Field House.
