DES MOINES, IOWA --- The Minnesota State men's track and field team traveled to Des Moines, Iowa, to take part in the Drake Relays as well as the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.
The 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Myles Hunter, junior Anthony Gustafson, junior Carmono Lane, and senior Jerrell Hancock qualified for the finals of the 4x100-meter relay finishing in seventh place with a time of 41.35 at the Drake Relays. The finals will be run tomorrow.
At the Kip Janvrin Open Hunter ran a time of 14.24 in the 110-meter hurdles finishing in first place. In the high jump freshman Frank Veldman finished in fourth place with a leap of 6' 6 ¼".
