MANKATO, Minn. --- The Mavericks continued their action in the MSU Open and Multi on Saturday afternoon.
Starting off the running events, sophomore Brieanna Puckett (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) continued her successful season as she took home first-place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.69 in the finals. Teammate Briana Holt (Maryland Heights, Mo.)wasn't far behind in third. In the 200-meters, it was Taylor Glover (Spencer, Iowa) leading the Maverick charge finishing in fourth at a time of 26.35. Jenni Vanttinen (Helsinki, Finland) and Mackenzie Beals (Marshalltown, Iowa) followed in seventh and eighth, respectively. Glover would also end up in third-place during the 400-meters with a final time of 58.52.
Freshman Becca O'Hotto (Oak Grove, Minn.) found herself in fourth in the 600-meters at 1:45.27. The 800-meters would be much of the same with Megan Allen (Grand Rapids, Minn.) and Maddi Sjelin (St. Michael, Minn.) going three and four with Allen ahead at 2:20.22. Senior Halee Peterson (Cloquet, Minn.) would capture yet another top-five finish in the 1000-meters at 3:07.71.
In the 3000-meters, freshman Erica Hauf (Sabin, Minn.) took home fifth-place with a time of 10:43.24. Senior Marina Paul (Cedar Grove, Wis.) finished fourth in the 5000-meters at 18:48.16.
The 60-meter hurdle finals featured two Mavericks with Kellie Wong (Ankeny, Iowa) finishing fourth at 9.20 and Brooke Foreman (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) right behind in sixth. The 4x400 relay team capped off the track events in third-place from the team comprised of Bonnie Pickford (Wever, Iowa), Foreman, Amelia Kjos (River Fall, Wis.) and Madison Alexander (Sheldon, Minn.).
The field events saw much of the same success as the running side. The high jump ended with senior Amanda Stangler (St. Cloud, Minn.) topping the MSU chart in third with a jump of 5'3.25" with teammate Kayla Lindell (Cold Spring, Minn.) right behind in sixth. In the triple jump, it was Anna Veroeven (North Mankato, Minn.) finishing in first-place with a lunge of 39'2.25".

The Mavericks will head back to the University of Minnesota next weekend as they are set to take part in the Jack Johnson Classic.
