Minnesota State Posts Third-Place Finish at Waxlax Invitational

  St. Cloud, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's cross country team turned in a third-place finish at the 2015 Bob Waxlax Invitational held in St. Cloud Friday.

Minnesota Duluth won the seven-team, 6K-competition with a score of 24 points and was followed by Winona State (53), Minnesota State (83), St. Cloud State (124), Southwest Minnesota State (133), Bemidji State (157) and Concordia-St. Paul (182).

Freshman Lily Paul (22:25) paced the Mavericks with her ninth-place finish.

Sophomore
 Erin Baker (22:55) was 12th, freshman Jessica Boespflug (23:08) placed 16th, freshman Megan Serratore (23:26) was 22nd, freshman Josie Braaten (23:36) placed 25th, senior Samantha Soupir (24:02) was 34th, sophomore Mariah Betzler (24:15) was 40th, sophomore Megan Allen (24:15) finished 42nd, freshman Sally O'Brien (24:23) placed 44th, sophomore Jaden Roddick (24:35) finished 47th, freshman Mackenzie Dockendorf (24:44) placed 50th, junior Maddi Sjelin (24:51) was 52nd, sophomore Erica Hauf (25:59) was 64th and sophomore Becca Ohotto (28:15) placed 73rd.

Next action for Minnesota State is the 2015 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships in St. Paul, Minn., slated for Oct. 24th.
