Mavericks End Season by Finishing 13th at NCAA Regional Meet

Erin Baker posted a 47th-place finish to lead MInnesota State at the 2015 NCAA regional meet

Joplin, Mo. --- The Minnesota State women's cross country team concluded its season by posting a 13th-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Division II Central Region Meet held Saturday in Joplin, Mo.

Southwest Babtist (Mo.) won the 31-team, 6K-competition with a score of 79 points and was followed by Minnesota Duluth (99), Augustana (115), U-Mary (123) and Harding (132).

The Mavericks, who registered 340 points, were paced by sophomore Erin Baker, who finished 47th with a time of 22:36.34).

Other Minnesota State individuals included freshman Lily Paul, who placed 60th with a time of 22:53.35. Senior Samantha Soupir (23:12.40) closed out her college career with a 70th-place finish. Freshman Megan Serratore (23:18.14) was 77th, sophomore Megan Allen (23"27.73) was 86th, freshman Josie Braaten (23:49.14) placed 103rd and freshman Jessica Boespflug (24:21.54) placed 130th.
