BROOKINGS, S.D. --- Day two of the SDSU Indoor Invitational saw the women's track and field team secure more personal-records and top-ten finishes.
Senior Jenni Vanttinen (Helsinki, Finland) got the day started off quick as she ran the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries in 8:84, which marks as a provisional qualifying time. She would go on to post a time of 9:00 in the finals and leave in eighth-place.
A pair of Mavericks would also find themselves in the finals of the 60-meter dash. Senior Sid'Reshia Floyd (New Hope, Minn.) brought home a fifth-place finish with a time of 7.69. Sophomore Brieanna Puckett (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) finished just behind in eighth at 7.99.
In a weekend filled with new personal-records, Taylor Glover (Spencer, Iowa) followed the trend by running 57.55 in the 400-meters, finishing in third. Teammate Taylor Naatz (Watertown, Wis.) grabbed a new career-best of her own at 58.39 and in eighth-place. Maddi Sjelin (St. Michael, Minn.) brought home the eighth-place finish in the 800-meters, running it in 2:16.12.
Senior Anna Veroeven (North Mankato, Minn.) took home third-place in the triple jump event following her top-mark of 39'10.5". Junior Faryn Wirkus (Edgar, Wis.) would gain a third-place finish of her own in the pole vault with a final height of 11'11.75". Bryanna Sudman (Eden Prairie, Minn) followed right behind in fifth.

The next track and field action will occur tomorrow afternoon as Minnesota State is set to host the NSIC Multi Championships, in Myers Field House.
