Mavericks Place 20th at Griak

Sophomore Brendan Gessner placed 108th for Minnesota State Saturday at the Roy Griak Invitational

Minneapolis, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's cross country team placed 20th at the 2015 Roy Griak Invitational held in Minneapolis Saturday.

Black Hills State (S.D.) won the 37-team, 8K-competition with a score of 93 points and was followed by UW-Parkside (96), Augustana (98), Manitoba (152) and San Francisco State (167) to round out the top five. Minnesota State finished with 460 points in ranking 20th.

Freshman Austin Pasch (27:44) placed 63rd as the top the top Minnesota State individual.

Freshman Caleb Burke (27:56) placed 73rd, sophomore Michael Hoff (28:23) placed 107th, sophomore Brendan Gessner (28:24) placed 108th, freshman Steven Erredge (28:25) placed 109th, senior Brennan Holman (28:27) was 111th and freshman Derek Cruz (28:54) finished 142nd.
