MANKATO, Minn. --- The Mavericks began the two-day event on Friday night to kick off the annual MSU Open and Multi.
In the 3000-meter run the Mavericks took spots fifth-ninth with
Samantha Soupir (Omaha, Neb.) leading the way with a time of 11:00.17. She was followed by
Lily Paul(Cedar Grove, Wisc.) (11:03.21),
Mariah Betzler(Elk River, Minn.) (11:09.41),
Allyson Daines (Westby, Wisc.) (11:17.67), and
Erica Hauf(Sabin, Minn.) (11:19.63).
In the weight throw,
Morgan Stampley (St. Paul, Minn.) placed sixth with a throw of 48'00.50''. She was followed by
Emma Edelen (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) in seventh (47'03.50'').
The day went to the distance medley relay team comprised of
Megan Allen(Grand Rapids, Minn.),
Bobbi Patrick (Middleton, Wisc.)
Haley Kruger (Brandon, S.D.) and
Megan Serratore (Bemidji, Minn.). They posted a time of 12:22.98.
In the pole vault, Senior
Faryn Wirkus (Edgar, Wisc) placed second with a vault of 12'07.50''.
Grady Keding tied for fourth (11'05.75'').
