Sioux Falls, S.D. --- Minnesota State's women's cross country team came in sixth at the 2016 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships which took place in Sioux Falls, S.D., Saturday.
There were 15 teams that competed in the 6K event held at the Yankton Trails.
Junior
Erin Baker (21:51.7) earned All-NSIC Second Team honors and paced the Mavericks, finishing as the team's top individual with her 19th-place result. Junior
Megan Allen (22:12.80) was 28th, Sophomore
Megan Serratore (22:18.43) was 31st and was followed by freshman
Carisa Weyenberg (22:58.04, 50th), sophomore
Josie Braaten (22:58.06, 51st), junior Haley Kruger (23:01.85, 52nd), freshman
Bobbi Patrick (23:20.91, 58th), sophomore
Lily Paul (23:23.36, 69th), junior
Mariah Betzler (23.44.01, 76th), freshman
Jaylynn Lauer (24:01.37, 87th) and freshman
Josie Heeren (24:50.76, 99th).
U-Mary totaled 33 points in claiming the team title, while the Mavericks combined for 179 points.
