Pittsburg, Kan. --- Sophomore
Altoniece Williams and junior
Haley Kruger both earned All-American honors with their performances at the 2016 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday.
Williams placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.42. The Miami, Fla., native, who owns the school record in the event, was making her first appearance at the national championship meet.
Kruger, a Brandon, S.D., native who established a school record in the 800-meters in Friday's prelims with a time of 2:09.94, finished seventh in today's finals with a time of 2:11:63. Kruger was appearing at the national championship for the first time.
Junior
Ariel Thomas (Los Angeles, Calif.), who was making her national championship debut, finished 14th in the triple jump with a 39' 1" effort.
As a team, Minnesota State finished 18th with 14.50 points.
