Mankato, Minn --- The Minnesota State men's track and field team kicked off their outdoor campaign this weekend as they sent two athletes to the Baldy Castillo Invitational in Tempe, Arizona. Hunter first 13.70
Coming off of his record setting and title winning weekend, junior
Myles Hunter (Conyers, Ga.), started his outdoor season in similar fashion winning the 110-meter hurdles. His time of 13.70 has automatically qualified him for nationals in May.
The lone field athlete competing for the Mavs was fellow junior
Alex Campbell (Ellsworth, Wis.) who participated in the high jump and triple jump. He jumped 48'9'' in the triple jump which provisionally qualifies him for nationals. In the high jump he also qualified provisionally with his leap of 6'8''.
