Mavericks Head Home After Ashley Nally Heptathlon/Herschel Neil Decathlon

Maryville, Mo. --- The final day of the Ashley Nally Heptathlon/Herschel Neil Decathlon wrapped up this afternoon for both men and women.

The men sent three athletes to compete in the first decathlon of the season. Placing in third was Anyah Nutter. Some of his notable performances include: 2.01-meters in the high jump, which was the top mark of the day, 11.19 in the 100-meter dash was also the top time, and his time of 15.75 in the 100-meter hurdles was the top time.

Placing fifth for the Mavericks was Joe Williams. Some of his performances included: 11.31 in the 100-meter dash, 50.43 in the 400-meter dash, and 3.44 in the pole vault.

In his first action for the Mavericks, Logan Bristol, places eighth. A few of his performances include: 1.92-meters in the high jump, 16.52 in the 110-meter hurdles, and 5.78-meters in the long jump.

The lone female that made the trip was Jessika Dieringer who placed fifth. Some of her notable performances include: 4.85-meters in the long jump, 2:31.95 in the 800-meter run placing second, and 26.82 in the 200-meter dash.

Both the men's and women's track and field teams will be back in action next weekend at the Vance Butler Invitational in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
