Norwalk, Calif. --- Following a successful first evening in California, the Minnesota State men's track and field team continued to do the same on Friday as they took part in the annual Mt. SAC Relays.
Leading the charge was
Michael Sandle winning the triple jump title. His jump of 52'08'' is the new top mark in division II and is the eighth best jump across all division. He also set a new school record. The previous record by Peter Pratt has stood for 40 years (1976).
Alex Campbell would finish tenth with a mark of 48'01.25''.
Senior
Richard Wilhite, Jr. set a new career best in the 200-meter run with a time of 21.01. This ties him for the fifth fastest time in all of division II. He also participated in the 100-meter dash and recorded a time of 10.53.
Frank Veldman and
Jeff DeCock took part in the high jump today with both athletes finishing at 6'6.75''.

Minnesota State will conclude the action in California tomorrow at the Long Beach Invite, held in Norwalk, Calif. Some athletes will also be in St. Paul for the Concordia Holst Invitational.
