Cerritos, Calif. --- Day two in California saw the Minnesota State women's track and field team participate in the Mt. SAC Relays.
Altoniece Williams got the day started out with her eighth place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.85. She was followed by
Brooke Foreman with a time of 14.89, which is her best time so far this season. MSU had some success in the 800-meter run as well. Senior
Mackenzie Beals set a new career best in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.49.
Haley Kruger set a new personal outdoors with a time of 2:12.08. This time currently ranks as the 11
th fastest in division II.
Megan Allen also set a personal best outdoors with her time of 2:14.
The 4x100-meter relay team comprised of Williams,
Afure Adah,
Ariel Thomas, and
Karlona Gregory put up an impressive time of 46.62 and placing ninth. This is currently the tenth best time in all of division II.
After competing yesterday senior
Faryn Wirkus was back at it again in the pole vault. She improved her mark from yesterday by three plus inches today with a vault of 12'9.50'' and placed fifth in a very competitive field. Another athlete that is competing on back-to-back days isÂ
Thomas in the triple jump. Her leap of 38'02'' placed 15
th.

The Mavericks will be back in action tomorrow for the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays. Some of the team will also be in St. Peter, Minn. for the Lee Krough Invite.
