Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's track and field team was busy Saturday with individuals competing at the Lee Krough Invitational in St. Peter and in California.
At the Lee Krough Invitational hosted by Gustavus, freshman
Gabi Gaines turned in a first-place performance in the 100m (12.30) and was second in the 200m (25.15) in pacing the Mavericks on the day. Junior
Taylor Glenn was first in the 400m hurdles (1:04.66). Freshman
Lexi Platz finished second in the discus (129-01), while freshman
Kim Wrey posted a second-place finish in the 100m hurdles (59.55),
Bri Holt was second in the 100m (12.25), and senior
Marina Paul was second in the 5000m (18:31.64). Lee Krough results available

Senior pole vaulter
Faryn Wirkus cleared 13-0 in the pole vault at the Long Beach State Invitational. Junior
Haley Kruger finished 34th in the 800m (2:11.94) at Long Beach, while freshman
Afure Adah placed 24th (24.91) and
Karlona Gregory was 30th (25.05) in the 200m (24.91).
Khadiya Hollingsworth cleared 5-7 in finishing third in the high jump.
Next action for the Mavericks is the Manitou Invitational hosted by St. Olaf April 22nd in Northfield, Minn.
