Conditioning specific to your needs is determined solely on which energy system you are training.Pure sprinting and acceleration is from the ATP-PC system or the First Energy system.These 0 to 10 seconds of explosive energy is where your maximum effort energy comes from.The other energy system is the Oxidative Glycolitic or G1 system.Training this system generally focuses on the Getting in Shape conditioning.This type of conditioning is done with submaximal efforts for longer periods of time.This training sacrifices quality of work, for our summer training purposes we will use this conditioning at the beginning of the summer training and for a few weeks prior to the beginning of the competitive season.
