Mankato, Minn. — The Minnesota State men's and women's tennis teams are each ranked fifth in the fall edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Rankings released this week.
The Minnesota State men’s tennis team suffered a 5-0 loss to Western New Mexico Friday morning in the opening round of the 2009 NCAA Division II Tennis Tournament held at the Sartell High School Tennis Courts.
What Lies Ahead: The Minnesota State men\'s tennis team will open the 2009 NCAA Central Region championships Friday morning with a match against Western New Mexico. The Mavericks will participate in the two-day, three-team, sub-regional this weekend hosted by St. Cloud State University in Sartell, Minn., at the Sartell High School Tennis Courts.
Indianapolis, Ind. --- For the first time in school history, the Minnesota State men\'s and women\'s tennis teams will participate in the NCAA Tournament. The tournament, which is scheduled to begin next weekend, will take place in St. Cloud. Start times for the matches have yet to be determined.
