Minnesota State Women Travel to #5 Minnesota Duluth

Mankato, Minn.--- The Minnesota State women’s hockey team continues Western Collegiate Hockey Association play this weekend when it travels to Duluth, Minn. to take on the Bulldogs. Friday’s contest starts at 6:07 p.m. and Saturday’s starts at 3:07 p.m. Both game will be held at DECC.


About Minnesota Duluth: The Bulldogs are 9-5-0 and 7-3-0-0 in the WCHA. In their last action, the Bulldogs traveled to St. Cloud and split the series with the Huskies. The Bulldogs were defeated in game one by a score of 1-5. Minnesota Duluth then earned a 5-0 shutout on Saturday. Minnesota Duluth is led by senior forward Emmanuelle Blais (9-11--20), junior forward Laura Fridfinnson (7-10--17) and freshman goaltender Jennifer Harss (9-5-0, 2.55, .916).

MSU/UMD History: The Mavericks are 3-35-3 all-time against the Bulldogs. Two of Minnesota State’s victories over Minnesota Duluth came in the 2003-04 season and the other in 2006-07.
