MSU Finishes in Tenth at the NCAA Championships

Houston, Texas. – The Minnesota State women’s indoor track and field team concluded its indoor schedule as it finished 10th at the NCAA Championships with 19 points.
Junior Brittany Henderson finished fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.45. Henderson also earned an eighth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.96.
Senior Katelin Rains, who won her third consecutive pole vault national title Friday, finished 13th in the triple jump with a jump of 35’-0 1/4”.
Senior Kaycie Merrihew finished 12th in the pentathlon event with 3,122 points.
The 4x400 relay team consisting of Henderson, Rains, and juniors Kelsey Leonard and Andrea Sellars finished eighth with a time of 3:55.02.
The MSU women’s track and field team will make the transition to the outdoors as it will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., April 4 to take part in the Vance Butler Memorial.
